2/27/2004 What a wonderful organization for children with disabilities! Have attended the camps and they are wonderful. The volunteers are so caring and allow the children to experience things many of them have never done. The laughter and the smiles in their eyes is remarkable. Every child with disabilites should be able to share in this experience. My daughter has cerebral palsey and enjoyed the camp so much. I would encourage every parent or teacher of special children to let them share the fun!

2/27/2006 I recall several years ago my hesitation leaving my twin boys with cerebral palsy (one in a wheelchair, the other tube fed; both w/ multiple special needs)in the care of strangers for a day. I hung around to assure myself of their safety. In hindsight, I regret not spending those hours doing something for myself!! I observed positive, loving people take such good care of my boys. Now, I just drop them off at the day camps and say "good - bye"! The day camp gives my boys the opportunity to do activities they might not otherwise do. Also, I receive the much needed respite for a day. Our relatives contribute to the organization because they hear (and see pictures) about how much fun my boys have at the day camps. Thank you to Kris Wright and all of the volunteers for making a difference in our world.

2/27/2006 I have been very blessed for my children to attend day camps. Special children are treated with dignity and one on one partners for care and attention. Any child that has special needs would benefit from attending. My children often ask when the next day camp is! Kris is a SPECIAL person to care for such special kids.

2/27/2006 CTC and Kris and Henry Wright are wonderful! My kids have enjoyed the camps and can't wait for the next one. The volunteers work so hard and every camper is blessed by the day's end. CTC is a God-send to families with special needs children because they understand and appreciate them and provide a wonderful setting to make them feel loved and cherished. My son Jeremiah can't wait to get out and catch another huge fishlike the one he's holding in the website's picture. Thanks from our family to the CTC staff, volunteers, and people who donate money to keep this great camp going!!

2/28/2006 My son an I started to get frustrated after being lost with our directions. Then we saw the red balloons. Wow, a real farm! What an amazing place. The volunteer scheduled to work with my son ran over as we were unloading and gave me a huge welcome hug. That was really nice, it made me feel safe. Thank you again for the opportunity to share this fun experience. My son wanted to take home that gentle dog near the entrance!

3/1/2004 I work at Parker College of Chiropractic and several of our student interns have participated in the camps. They always come away with a feeling of satisfaction that they made a difference in a child's life for at least one day. These same students have encouraged others to partcipate.

3/3/2004 I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with this organization. It is amazing of the love that flows through the volunteers. Their endless hours of hard work and dedication to make such a wonderful place for our "Special Children" of the world are just unbelievable! I am so touched by this organization. It is really good to know that there are people still out in our world today that give so much of themselves to make a better world for other special people. You are a blessing! Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars!!

5/10/2004 Our students from Hopkins County schools look forward to attending the day camp each Spring. One 6 year old boy kept telling his mother that he didn't want to go, but when they arrived at the camp, seeing all the fun things to do, he hopped out of the car to join the other kids and never looked back! Thanks for contacting us at Sulphur Springs ISD, and allowing our children to participate in the camps.

6/29/2005 I just volunteered for my first time at the Celebrate The Children Day Camp. I am a special education teacher and I know how hard it is to find a place for children with special needs to feel welcomed with open arms by everyone surrounding them. The joy on each child's face as they rode a horse, touched a cow, went fishing, painted a masterpiece, and made new friends will be a memory that I carry with me forever. This was my first camp but I am sure that it won't be my last.

6/9/2006 It is so refreshing to find such a wonderful, caring, and dedicated organization that is committed to improving the lives of so many children who oftentimes have no voice in our world. Children with disabilities quickly discover at Celebrate the Children that they are valued and loved. Hats off to Kris and the fabulous staff and volunteers that make this organization such a blessing to so many!!! May God continue to use you mightily in the lives of His little ones.

9/2/2004 Celebrate the Children has touched my life as a volunteer as much or more than it has the lives of so many children. I have helped in all but one of the camps and every time I leave, although exhausted, I am inspired and anticipating the next camp. It is a blessing to the families and especially the children themselves. The joy in the children's eyes and laughter illustrates how exciting the fishing, hayride, crafts, horseback riding, and cookout are to them. I feel very fortunate to be involved with such a wonderful organization.

9/9/2004 My wife and I have had the distinct privilege of volunteering for Celebrate the Children with their day camps for over two years. Both Karen and I look forward to each camp with a sense of anticipation. While going to Parker College of Chiropractic, most of our time is spent in studying, and there is not a lot of free time between us to spend on other things. CTC is one of those events where we feel blessed just to be a part of it. The wonderful things we have been a part of with CTC will have a treasured spot in our hearts forever. Thank you, CTC, for everything that you have done for these children, for you truly make a difference.
